Bell Partners Finance Launches Asset Finance Arm

Bell Partners Finance (now Evolve Lending & Finance) was featured in The Adviser following the launch of its new asset and business finance division, with two specialist commercial brokers appointed to lead the expansion.

Managing Director Mark Stevenson brought on Arthur Peios and Patrick Patacsil, both based in Sydney, to head the new arm. Peios had settled $16 million in loans in a single month and specialised in asset finance, consumer lending and unsecured commercial lending for small and medium enterprises. Patacsil came with a background in asset finance as a car loan specialist and had previously set a record of $5 million in business loans settled in a single month at Prospa. Mark described Peios as someone who delivers attention to detail and goes above and beyond for every client, and Patacsil as someone who genuinely relishes enabling small business owners to achieve their goals.

The new division was designed to serve business clients directly as well as to work in close partnership with accountants and financial advisers. Mark’s view was that SME borrowers were consistently underserved by banks, which rarely had the depth of business understanding that a specialist broker brings. A broker who speaks the same language as a business operator can not only find better finance solutions but provide the ongoing contract management and support that matters long after settlement.

The accountant-broker partnership model was a particular focus. Patacsil noted that when the two work together, clients access better finance solutions with significantly less effort, and bookkeeping is streamlined because the broker supplies all documentation required for the asset purchase directly to the accounting team.

The launch of the asset finance arm was a significant step in the growth of what is now Evolve Lending & Finance, extending its capability well beyond residential mortgages.
